The Department related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Science & Technology, Environment & Forests was held on 1st April, 1999 to condier the detailed Demand for Grants in respect of the Department for 1999-2000.

The Consultative Committee of Parliament for the Ministry of Science & Technology and other Science Departments including Department of Ocean Development met on 13th April,1999 and reviewed the implementation of the Departments scientific programmes.

Between April, 1999 and December, 1999, sixteen Unstarred Questions were answered in the Parliament.
