Under the Manpower Development programme, the Department sanctions research fellowships and research associateships to Universities and other Centres of Learning for supporting research activities in various fields of ocean sciences. During this year, the Department sanctioned 21 Fellowships in addition to 29 continuing Fellowships sanctioned during the previous years.
